Replace Competition with Creativity

This week I had a few chats with a few of my amazing clients. And the topic of competition came up a number of times. 

“There’s so much competition in this industry.”

“My agent said that the voice over world is so competitive”.

“I just figure that there’s 100’s of submissions, so mine probably won’t get heard.”

Whoa. 

Listen, there is always going to be people going for the same gigs as you. So, whatcha gonna do, give up? Throw in the pop filter? Call it a day? 

Why does this idea get in our way so often? 

My suggestion, when you feel there’s competition - GET CREATIVE.

Replace competition with creativity. 

Your song doesn’t sound like anyone else’s. You’re an artist - create already! 

Sing your song. Proudly. ‘Cause your song is unique and deserves to be heard!
